Gary James was the founder member of The Activists, (Young Peoples Theatre Scheme) at the Royal Court, where he trained under Gerald Chapman. He recently appeared in a Channel 4 documentary about the classic music show The Tube, as part of revisiting the programme that changed television in the early 1980s. Gary was one of the original presenters of the show and worked on it for the first two and half years.
Gary is one of the original members of AWL and appeared in numerous plays since its earliest days at Riverside Studios.
